WSK Series Final Zuera (Spain)
Joey
Elkerbout - His weekend started with promising times in practice.
since he has never drivin at the Zuera track, the team was confident
for a good result. Although the good practice, the qualify was a
little disapointing, 30th overall.
With a 9th, 10th and 12th position in the series, Joey had to start
as 15th in the pre final.
With a great start and a very good race of Joey, he finished as 5th
in the pre final!
The start of the final was not to good, he fell back to the 10th
position. with an incredible end of the final he came back to P6 and
closed the gap with 4th and 5th position. Unfortunatally #4 made a
mistake and took Joey into it and he finished as 8th.
Ramon Kuipers - Missed a little speed to enter the top 10, qualified
as 16th.Although the qualify was not to good, he recovered in the
series, with a 10th position overall.
Because there was no prefinal for the KF1, Ramon finished as 6th in
the finals and scored in his second race a promising top 10 finish.
Nyck de Vries - with a 3rd time in qualify and a very stable serie
finish, he had to start from pole position in the pre final. With
two victories, in both pre and final, Nyck is the new WSK KF3
Champion 2008!

Review World Championship KF1
Just 0.041 between Jack his P2 and pole and he made his point
clear, he came for the titel. With a good first qualify, the second
started the problems. The same problems as almost whole year came
back. Although he switched from IAME Parilla to Maxter Engines, the
devil is stil there. With a seized engine in serie 3, engine failure
in the prefinal and a broken sparkplug in final, it was a weekend to
forget for Jack.
Ramon Kuipers had some ups and down, but made it into the finals.
Although he didn't have the most powerfull engine of the field, he
made it up to an 17th place in the finals. For Ramon this was his
first race on the Zanardi kart, the team is satiesfied with his
result.
For Aleksi it was his first international race after the wintercup
in Lonato, February this year. In the beginning he had some struggle
with the special tyries, but he 'grow' into the weekend. every
session became better and with his 13th position overall in the
final, he was also the first Zanardi kart driver!

Preview World Championship KF1
After being succesfull in several classes, Keijzer Racing didn't
participate in the World Championship KF1. This year Keijzer Racing
will be there for the first time, with 3 drivers.
As already know, Jack te Braak is one of the drivers for Keijzer
Racing in the KF1 and also a contender for a podium position. Just
like in Hahn, Germany, Jack will drive with the HP Race tuned Maxter
Engines.
Not new in the KF1 class, but switch to Keijzer Racing is Ramon
Kuipers. Although he is familiar with the IAME Parilla
engines, it will be his first time on the Zanardi Chassis at the
world championship. Although it will be a difficult task, the
pre-tests we're confident.
The second 'new' driver is Aleksi Mustonen. This Finnish driver has
driven in the past for Maranello and CRG, but due to circumstances
only participate in the Finnish Championship and became second
overall. Last week he tested in Lonato and Parma, you couldn't see
he did not drive international this year at all!

European Championship KF3
Nyck De Vries
had a hard time during the European KF3 Championship held in France,

unlucky during the weekend…

a disappointing weekend.

in the back, and had to retire with engine trouble in the second
race.
Since Braga was the final race of the European Championship, Jack

Northern Qualify European championship KF2 and KF3
With Dylan Davies in KF2 and Nyck de Vries, Joey Elkerbout,
Chantal van Haandel and Christie Albai, Keijzer Racing had 5 drivers
competing in Sweden.
From these 5 drivers, only Nyck de Vries made it into the final in
Sweden. Although it looked promising for Joey, he missed the final
with a couple of points. After the series he was 39th, just 5 places
to short for a final place.
Only the first 25 drivers from the final will make it to the final
round later this season.
With a second position in the pre-final, everyting looked promissing
for the final.
In final Nyck finished at a 4th place, which is enough to compete in
Varennes, France, August 3rd.

European Championship Mariembourg
It
is the second race on the Mariembourg track. A couple of weeks there
was the WSK series, this time it was the KF1, KZ1 and KZ2.
Jack te Braak was the only driver this weekend. With the
dissapointing WSK race in mind, the team was confident for a good
result this weekend.
Although he had the 4th qualify time and winning a serie and 8th in
the second one, the first race was a struggle with engine power.
From a P5 start, Jack couldn't progress the succes. With a P9 it was
a little dissapointing. In the final he was a bit unlucky during the
start and finished P14.

P5 start, he fall back to P11. With a superb start in the final, he
made it threu the field and won!

race. With a huge crash at the start of the Final, with Joey as
biggest victim, he had to retire from this race.

Disappointing race for Team Keijzer in Mariembourg
With races in KF1 and KF2, Keijzer Racing competed with just Jack te
Braak and Dylan Davies.
Jack te Braak - First WSK race no super pole for Jack, p20 in
qualify.
Unfortunatally, Jack didn't improve the results in series, a
disappointing P15 as result.
With a seized engine in the first race and a crash in second, the
race ended without any points.
Dylan Davies - Qualify P51, after series, Dylan was 59th and did not
make in threu to the finals.

Keijzer
Racing wins in Wackersdorf!
DKM Jack te Braak - Set the fastest time in
qualify, won all series, wins pre final and final. Another straight
win for Jack te Braak!

series. After series he was 8th.
In the sprint race he drove up from 8h to 4th. In the final he
missed the podium again with place, he became 4th again.
DJKM Joey Elkerbout - After a good qualify, he was on his way during
the series. Unfortunatly, the TC found something in his engine,
which wasn't confirm the regulations. Although Joey and the team
couldn't do anything about it, they disqualify him.

the fastest time in qualify, won all series and won the sprint and
final race!

WSK Lonato
In the thrid round of the WSK Series in Lonato,
Keijzer Racing scored another podium finish.
After a 5th place in pre final, with a second position in final,
Nyck scored another podium score this year.
Jack te Braak - With a 6th place after series, he became 10th in pre
final. After some technical changes, he was on his way to a podium
finish in the finals but after contact with another driver, he was
unable to continue.
Dylan Davies - unfortunatly Dylan was not able to make it into the
finals
Joey Elkerbout - After a good qualify, 8th in his group, Joey had
bad luck in the series and didn't make it into the finals.
Nyck de Vries - Nyck scored a 5th place in the semi-final and became
second in the finals and scored another podium finish!

European Championship Angerville
The second race in a couple of week at the Angerville track. This
time the KF1, KZ1 and KZ2 european championship was held in
Angerville.
With a second place in qualify, Jack showed where he came for, a
podium finish.
With a win and a 3rd place in series, the first step to succes was
taken, a Pole Position in his first european championship KF1 ever!
Although Jack finished second in the pre-final, due to a new
starting procedure, it was almost impossible to make a good start,
they gave Jack a 10 second penalty, result: 11th tota..
In the final he showed his speed again and drove from P11 to a 5th
place.
Jack is now 7th in the championship standing.

DKM
Kerpen
Almost all drivers of Keijzer Racing were present in Kerpen, Germany.
Jack te Braak and Andre de Brouwer in DKM, Dylan Davies in DCKM and
Joey Elkerbout and Nyck de Vries in DJKM.
Although his pole position and serie win and second place, Jack had
bad luck (again). and technical faillure, he didn't score a podium
this time.
After a couple of month not raced, Andre showed his potential.
Although he had a tough time, he did what he had to do, and scored
some points for the championship.
With 49 drivers in KF2, Dylan scored a good result with a 10th place
in the sprint race and 15th in final.
In KF3 all pieces fall together for Joey. In Qualify he was 8th,
just behind Nyck. With 3 very good races in series, 4th, 3rd and
7th, he had to start from P5 for the sprint race. Less fortunate was
Nyck, he had placed himself for finals, by winning the "hoffnungslauf".
Although it looked very promising, just for the sprint race it
started to rain. Joey was very unlicky and finished 24th. Nyck drove
from last place to 16th.
In final Nyck continued overtaking and finished 6th. Joey scored a
19th place, just outside a point classification.

Good
results poured down the drain in rainy Angerville
With only the KF1 and KF3 class, Keijzer Racing had only three
drivers in the second race in Angerville, In KF1 Jack te Braak and
Nyck de Vries and Joey Elkerbout in KF3.
After his podium in the second race in Lecce, Jack was the quickest
driver in the qualifying. After a mis interpretation in superpole,
he had to start 9th overall. After a crash and a tenth position in
series, he had to start from place 28. The first race was almost a
copy of the one in Lecce, he drove from place 28 to 7th. A few
seconds before they turned of the red light for the final, it starts
pouring to rain. Although his normal speed in rain, the bad rain
tyres stopt him for an other poduim finish.
In KF3 Nyck and Joey both had bad luck. after qualification Nyck
scored a disappointing 27th position and Joey scored an 64th
positoin.
After series, Nyck was 18th overall. Although his 10th and 12th
serie, Joey scored an unfortunately dnf in a serie, and a 49th
position overall.
With a crash durting the start of race 1, Nyck had to start from P34
in finals, With a 28th position in final, he is still runner up in
the total classification.

Keijzer Racing scores at WSK Lecce
The first podium results of season 2008 are a fact. With a great
performance of Nyck de Vries, scores a hattrick (pole position,
victory in all series, wins both finals), shows his domination in
KF3 this weekend.

place in final, and scores his first podium of this season!
Unfortunally, both drivers Joey Elkerbout and Dylan Davies didn't

Mixed
feelings at the Lonato Wintercup
Although he is one of the first year drivers and a youngster in the
international racing fields, Joey Elkerbout scored well at the
Wintercup. With 101 drivers in the KF3 class, Joey made it threu to
the finals, and scored an excellent 26th position and showed his
potential.
Dylan Davies was more unfortuned, he didn't make it into the Finals.
He had some bad luck, after counting the results, he did not came
further than a dissapointing 38 position in his group.
Jack started very well in the KF1, the elite class of international
karting. With his 7th position overall, he showed his speed. With a 3rd
position in the first serie race, they eliminated him to a good
results.
In prefinal, his engine seized, which meant a early and disapointing
finish of the weekend, which had the potential for a very good
result.
